Cheap Morocco Hotels
The Kingdom of Morocco is a country located in North Africa. The capital is Rabat and the largest city is Casablanca. Morocco has always been at the crossroads between Africa, Middle East and Europe.
Tangier has been Morocco’s face to the world more than any other city in this country and for many years. It literally was home to a shotgun marriage between Western powers who controlled the port via dubious international council for about half a century. Today, Tangier is an ageing libertine propped up languidly at a bar, having seen it all.
The brigade touristique (tourist police) has cracked down on Tangier’s legendary hustlers, but the city is not altogether hustle free. If you take it head on and learn to handle the hustlers, you’ll find it a likable, lively place. The nightlife is vibrant, the population is cosmopolitan and the cultural vibe is infamous.

Fes el Bali
Morocco has a coast on the Atlantic Ocean that reaches past the Strait of Gibraltar into the Mediterranean Sea. Travel along this coast and you will chance upon many enchanting towns and the mountains of the Rif.
It’s a country with many astonishing sights and Marrakech is one city who can offer that. It is the jewel of the south, one of the Imperial cities of Morocco, and an important cultural and commercial centre set at the foot of the High Atlas mountains. Do also check out the Medina of Fes el Bali (Medina of Fez) is the largest living medieval Islamic city in the world. It is the heart of Arabic Morocco and is one of the holiest in Islam. This entire city has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site to visit is the Medina of Essaouira (formerly Mogador), an 18th century European fortified seaport town linking Morocco and its Saharan hinterland with Europe and the rest of the world since its early days.
Of course one cannot miss out on the endless mountain of sands and dunes, the Sahara Desert, the greatest desert in the world rending Africa in 2. To get there, one travels along ancient river routes, lined with oases, blooming, green lifelines that extend like veins into the heart of the desert. Along these ancient paths are constructed the ksar and kasbahs, mudbrick fortresses and towns that rise mysteriously out of the very earth, only to return, in time, like melting sandcastles.
The Roman Ruin of Volubilis, Chefchaouen a charming little town in the heart of the Riff mountains, Skoura for visiting the Dades, Todra and Draa valleys, Massa for the national park and river are all must-sees.
Best Time to Visit Morocco
Morocco is a country that you can visit throughout the year, without much rainfall to ruin days of sunbathing. However, if you do not wish to suffer a heatstroke while on vacation, avoid visiting during Summer (May – June). On the contrary, for a cooler and wetter climate, consider visiting Morocco from October to April.
The best time to visit Morrocco, especially the cities of Casablanca or Marrakech, is from September until March, when the weather tends to be pleasantly cool in July and August. This is also the prime tourist season in Morocco and just before or immediately after this time is when you won’t encounter much crowds.
Do take note that Ramadan is observed throughout the country, and many shops and businesses will have shorter opening hours during this time.
