Fiji Travel Guide
The Fiji islands are an archipelago in the South-Western Pacific Ocean. For the most part, this is an exotic tourist destination. You will find peace and quiet within the pristine nature, have an exhilarating time swimming, snorkeling or diving in the waters around the islands and be immersed in the Fijian culture (names of new friends are never forgotten).
Things to Do in Fiji

Koroyanitu National Park
There are quite a number of scenic highlights in Fiji, as the nation has been left relatively untouched by the outside world. It is highly recommended that you visit the Koroyanitu National Park, Nadi Area, Viti Levu. This national park is great for eco-tourism. It offers trails cutting through rainforests and local villages. Simultaneously, you will be treated to some magnificent scenery along the way. Most resorts offer great hiking trails around the resort and neighboring islands. Village visits are very popular with tourists and the locals who live there are enthusiastic and welcoming.
Fiji is for the adventurous. You could do anything from game fishing to extreme surfing. Alternatively, there is also simple snorkeling or scuba diving. Fiji has international recognition amongst the surfing community. The rave is about the exciting reef breaks, most of which are accessible only by boat.
Water sports are the most popular. Swimming, snorkeling, waterskiing, sailing, kayak tours and fishing are available all over Fiji. With over 300 islands, there is no shortage of beautiful reefs and exciting marine life. At the shallower reef dives, there is an abundance of hard corals of all shapes, colors and sizes.
While there is a host of activities to keep your adrenaline pumping, some tourists choose to simply not do anything at all on certain days. You could laze away the time at your resort, have an afternoon nap or take a dip in the calm setting of your resort. This will really revitalize your soul, putting you in prime position for another day of sun, sea, sand and nature.
A definite must-do for any tourist will be to go village visiting. You will marvel at their intrigue as well as hospitality. Do feel free to whip out your digital cameras and snap a few shots of the curious local children. Who knows? You may be invited to participate in a kava ceremony and maybe even a meke.
When to visit?
Fiji is blessed with a tropical climate all year round. The best months are between March to November, when it is relatively dry and sunny. Temperatures range from 26 to 30 degrees Celsius.
